DAY 1: NAIROBI – MERU NATIONAL PARK.

Warm reception by our representative who will give a briefing then depart for Meru National Park. Meru national park is located in the Eastern Province of Kenya. It prides itself for the history of the coming together of Joy Adamson’s bestselling book “Born Free”. The park is characterized by diverse landscapes, including rivers, open savannah and lush forest.

You will arrive in good time for Lunch. Then head for a game drive in the afternoon where you will enjoy the vibrant and brilliant Meru national park. Drive back for dinner and overnight at the hotel in the evening.

DAY 2: MERU NATIONAL PARK FULL DAY.

After breakfast we will depart the hotel for a guided game drive. Enjoy spotting the diverse wildlife in the unspoiled wilderness of Meru national park. The park has a wide range of wildlife including African bush Elephant, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Rhinos, grevy’s Zebra and many more. Other attractions include Adamson and Elisa the Lioness burial sites, Adamson’s Falls, breathtaking views of Mount Kenya and river Tana.

You will have lunch at around lunch time, then have an afternoon game drive to continue sighting and tracking wild animals. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: MERU TO SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE.

Breakfast then depart for Samburu national reserve. Samburu national reserve is a game reserve on the banks of river Ewaso Ngir’o (meaning “brown water”)in Samburu county. It is one of the two places Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the bestselling book and award wining movie” Born Free”. It’s also home of Kamunyak, a lioness famous for adopting Oryx calves. The ecosystem here comprises of a mixture of acacia, riverine forest, thorn trees and grassland vegetation.

We will arrive in good time for lunch. Head for a game drive in the afternoon then back for dinner and overnight at the hotel in the evening.

DAY 4: SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE FULL DAY.

Breakfast then depart for a morning game drive. Enjoy your day spotting the wide variety of animals and birds at Samburu national reserve. The reserve boosts a unique wildlife famous for the Samburu special five, the gerenuk, Beisa oryx, Somali Ostrich, Grevy’s zebra and the reticulated giraffe. The reserve also have other wild animals including lions, leopards , cheetahs and many more. It’s also home to over 350 bird’s species making it an ideal place for birdwatching.

We will have lunch at around lunch time then head back for an afternoon game drive in the vibrant Samburu national reserve where we will have more chances of spotting wildlife and breathtaking views in this serene environment. We will drive back for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 5: SAMBURU – LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK.

After breakfast we will depart for lake Nakuru National Park our next destination. Lake Nakuru national park is located in the Great Rift valley. It’s rewarding for its unique game viewing destination and a sanctuary for both the endangered black rhinos and white rhinos. It’s best known for its thousands of Flamingos nesting along the shows of the alkaline lake feeding on algae. It’s also rich in other species of birds with over 400 species on the lake and surrounding park. The park is also home to a vast number of wild animals like hippos, giraffes, lions, leopards and waterbucks.

We will arrive in good time for Lunch afterwards go on an afternoon game drive where you will be able to see the magical flocks of flamingos in their thousand and have even more chances of spotting more wildlife like the Waterbuck, Hippos, Buffalos, Impalas, Thomson’s gazelle, in this untamed environment. We will head back for dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 6: LAKE NAKURU – MASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Have breakfast then we leave the lodge for Masai Mara National Reserve our next destination on this adventurous safari. Masai Mara is a renowned wildlife sanctuary in southwestern part of Kenya famous for its abundant wildlife and the wildebeest migration. Its contiguous with the Serengeti national park in Tanzania and its name honour the Maasai people the ancestral inhabitants of this area. We will arrive in good time for Lunch and for a thrilling afternoon game drive.

The Mara river along with its tributaries are the major rivers draining the reserve. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.

DAY 7: MASAI MARA FULL DAY

After breakfast we leave the lodge with picnic lunch to enjoy a full day game drive at Masai mara national reserve. You will have an exciting day witnessing the vast number of wildlife in the reserve. The Reserve is one of the most visited in Kenya for its high density of wildlife. The blue wildebeest are the dominant inhabitants of the reserve. Around June they migrate north from the Serengeti plains in search of fresh pastures and return south around October, the Great migration is among the most impressive natural event worldwide. We will have chances of sighting the big five and many more animals like Elephants, Giraffe, Zebras, Hippos, Spotted Hyenas and many more.

At lunch time you will relax for your picnic lunch then we will continue catching sight of the vast wildlife in one of the best reserves in Kenya for un unforgettable experience. In the evening we will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 8: MASAI MARA- NAIROBI.

After breakfast you will be transferred to Nairobi capital city of Kenya. Enjoy the views en route as you drive through the floor of the rift valley back to the Kenyan capital city Nairobi.
